3 Summer Evening Classes
Join us for three unique experiences at the beautiful Rusty Gate Berry Farm…
Each session will include:
- a different gentle yoga/movement segment (suitable for all ability levels),
- a short but inspiring nutrition talk, and
- the cooking and eating of a delicious, creative, plant-based meal featuring power-packed, sumptuous Rusty Gate blueberries!
Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle and a yoga mat if you have one (if you don’t, please let us know so we can bring one for you). AND if you would like to stay and pick some blueberries to take home with you (or come early to do so), the u-pick will be open (assuming the berries are ripe for the picking)!

As a business owner, teacher, wife and mother of 3 active children, I live a pretty full life. Over the past few years as life continued to get busier, I started taking a more holistic approach to wellness. Eating more whole (real) foods, practicing yoga and meditation, spending more time in nature and so many other little things that I didn’t think were important. And it’s resulted in a healthier and more balanced life. And I’m grateful that I get to share my personal experiences and passion for wellness every single day with my community. Because I believe you can all be living a lifestyle that better supports your health and wellness, and enriches your mind, body and spirit.
Denise Nicholson and her husband Mike are the owners of Rusty Gate Berry Farm.
Rusty Gate Berry Farm is a small family-run U-Pick Blueberry Farm located south of town in the Kelly Creek neighbourhood. Our farm is not certified but we grow our berries using organic practices . We encourage families to come out and enjoy the experience of picking your own fresh berries. We also offer farm gate sales if there is availability.
Emma Levez Larocque (Plant-Based RHN) is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Plant-Based Chef.
I am passionate about celebrating the delicious flavours of plants, and about helping people to live their healthiest lives. It is incredibly empowering to take charge of your health by eating more whole, plant-based foods, and it is my privilege to work to help people see that first hand.
