There is so much to learn when it comes to eating a plant-based diet, and I am pleased to be able to offer this continuing series of different plant-based classes for the spring of 2017! In this series we will focus on some different food forms that you can make easily at home with familiar ingredients. These are dishes busy people can make ahead of time, satisfying meals that will round out your plant-based cooking repertoire. See below for details of each class.
What does “Plant-Based Cooking” mean?
It means healthy, delicious food that is made without any animal products or by-products. Whole foods that come from plants are abundant in nutrients that benefit our physical, mental and emotional health. They are naturally high in fiber and low in saturated fat, and a well-balanced whole foods plant-based diet has been proven to prevent and reverse some of the most common diseases that afflict people in the Western World. And it’s easier than you may think to cook with them!
Who should take this class? People who have already completed introduction to plant-based cooking, and who are interested in more in-depth info on:
- how to eat more healthfully without compromising flavour
- how food can affect long-term health and improve many chronic conditions
