In this 6-part series you will learn the basics of plant-based cooking and nutrition so that by the end of the 6 weeks you will feel confident about cooking a variety of tasty, healthy plant-based meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Each week we will focus on a different meal, making at least one delicious dish so that you can learn and practice practical kitchen skills, acquire plant-based cooking know-how, and eat some delicious food.

Healthy Plant-Based Cooking for Busy People

Plant-Based Cooking for a Healthy Gut

In recent years we have started to understand more about the critical role that a healthy GI (gut) terrain plays in our overall health, and that what we eat and how we live has a tremendous effect on how healthy our gut (microbiome) is. In this 4-part learn-and-eat nutrition/cooking series we will focus on information, recipes and cooking skills to help you eat for your best gut health. Each class includes a full meal.

Plant-Based Cooking for Chronic Disease

This 4-part series is designed for people who are looking to change their diet to improve a chronic disease. Learn the nutrition science on why and how a whole-food plant-based diet can help improve common chronic diseases such as type II diabetes, heart disease and some cancers, as well as practical advice on what a healthy plant-based diet consists of on a daily basis. In the kitchen you will get hands-on cooking tips and techniques for making tasty, healing whole-foods plant-based meals without refined sugar, salt or oil, and each week you will get to sample food, so you can see how good it can be!

If you would like to be put on the list for the next series of this class, please get in touch. In each class of this series we will focus on a food from a different country, which will allow us to explore some new ingredients and flavours, and emphasize the fact that plant-based cooking, while healthy, can also be amazingly varied and incredibly delicious! Classes will focus on cuisines such as Indian, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Polish, Japanese or Mediterranean – the featured cuisines will be decided by the class. You will learn how to make dishes from each cuisine plant-based, and healthier, with reduced oil (we’ll only use it where it really makes a difference), and healthier, whole foods ingredients.
