Introduction to Plant-Based Cooking – a 6-part learn & eat series

6-week series: Wednesdays, September 13, 20 and October 4, 11, 18, 25

This course is underway and registration is now closed. In this 6-part series you will learn the basic hows and whys of plant-based cooking and nutrition so that by the end of the 6 weeks you will feel confident about cooking a variety of tasty, healthy plant-based meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Each week we will focus on a different meal, making at least one delicious dish so that you can learn and practice practical kitchen skills, acquire plant-based cooking know-how, and sample some delicious food. $240 pp + taxes

Plant-Based for a Healthy Heart

4-week series: Tuesdays, October 10, 17, 24 and 31
Location: Powell River Recreation Complex

This course is underway and registration is now closed. This 4-part plant-based nutrition/cooking program is for people who are interested in improving their heart health. Whether you are dealing with a condition such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol, or you want to learn how to eat for a healthy heart (and the rest of your body too!), come join us! Learn about the scientifically proven benefits of whole foods plant-based eating to improve chronic heart disease, and how to do it too! Each week we will talk about different aspects of heart healthy nutrition, and make a tasty meal so you can see how easy and delicious whole plant-based eating can be. $190 + taxes 


Healthy Plant-Based Cooking for Busy People

5-week series: Wednesdays, November 1 – 29
Location: Powell River Senior’s Centre in Cranberry

This course is full and registration is now closed. This 5-week series is all about strategies and plant-based cooking know-how for healthy, delicious meal prep for busy people. Want inspiration and ideas for how to make sure your family (no matter the size) is eating well and getting the nourishment they need, even when you are on the run? This class is for you. Recipes, tips, batch cooking, menu planning and more. $200 pp + taxes

There is so much to learn when it comes to eating a plant-based diet, and I am pleased to be able to offer this level 2 series of plant-based classes for the fall of 2017! In each class of this series we will focus on foods from a different country, which will allow us to explore some new ingredients and flavours, and emphasize the fact that plant-based cooking, while healthy can also be amazingly varied and incredibly delicious! $160 pp + taxes
